Thailand extends ‘special tourist visa’ scheme for one more year

The policy, for which TAT has won a Gold Award from the Pacific Asia Travel Association, will continue to be in effect until 30 September, 2022.

 The Thai office has approved a one-year extension of the ‘special tourist visa’ (STV) scheme for long-staying visitors until 30 September, 2022.

Thailand moves further up the ‘Best Countries Heritage’ top 10 rankings

2021 list places Thailand at No. 7 and the only Southeast Asian country among the top spots.

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to announce that Thailand has been ranked in 7th place worldwide in the 2021 ‘Best Countries Heritage’ listing, moving up two spots from 2020’s position and being the only Southeast Asian country, and one of only 3 Asian countries to feature in the top 10.
